One afternoon in 1973, Bob was taking in the sunset at the top of Lennox Point while watching swallows ducking, carving and picking insects out of the air. At the time, he was shaping some of the first swallow tails in Australia, along with beautiful pintails for Lennox waves, and this got him thinking about a logo. Inspired by the grace and manoeuvrability he saw that afternoon, Bob went to the library in Lismore, found a photograph of the Bluebird, got a photocopy, and took it to Northern Start Printer where he printed up the first round of Bluebird Logos. The bird appeared on most of Bob?s boards through the 70?s and is now used exclusively for the beautiful Bluebirds we still make today. Now available in a classic white tee made of a heavyweight 225g Organic Cotton.
